Winter 2017 Newsletter

This is usually the best time of the year to get out and enjoy the countryside around us, whether we are exploring places in the Illawarra area or further afield.

A big thank you to all of you who have nominated to lead activities in the coming months.  We encourage all members to consider leading so that we can continue to provide a wide and interesting range of activities.  If you have any thoughts about it but need some assistance or advice, please don’t hesitate to contact Chris English, the Program Manager, or talk to any of the committee members who can put you in touch with her.

We have another program full of activities – including some of your favourites and hopefully some new places you can enjoy for the first time. There are also two training sessions coming up:

  • A Leader training course on Wednesday 16 August, designed for those who may be thinking about leading as well as those who are relatively new to the game.
  • A First Aid course on Saturday 1 July which has been tailored to provide practical instruction relating to the sorts of activities we do and places we visit.

Social events are always great occasions and provide an ideal opportunity to catch up with friends and meet some new faces.  There’s a dinner on 21st June and a lunch on 21st July.  Check the program for further details.

Looking forward to seeing you on an activity soon.
