The WEA Illawarra Ramblers Club was formed in 1991, initially as a bushwalking club.  During subsequent years, as membership numbers grew so did the range of activities.  Cycling and kayaking are now equally popular as are the trips away.   In June 2015, the club became an incorporated association and as such, was no longer managed under the auspices of the WEA.  The Illawarra Ramblers Club is based in Wollongong NSW and has around 250 members.  Activities are scheduled on most days of each week.
