This cycle is mostly on the bike track from Stuart Park car park to Thirroul beach and return. There are a few quiet streets and 2 hills on the way to Thirroul Beach. Coffee and chat is at Bulli Beach Café on the return journey.  This leisurely ride is an opportunity for intending members to come along and join us.

This walk is in the Kangaroo Valley Nature Reserve. We walk to Hampton Bridge then onto Beendeela Camping Ground. This walk is a hard grade 4 walk. It consists of a rocky river bed, uneven ground, 5 km of scrub bashing, a small cliff face, and 8 km of fire trail & track. A car shuffle is required from the start to the finish of the walk.

To register you should be capable of –

  1. Walking 13 Km.
  2. Pulling yourself up and over a rock or two.
  3. Lifting your legs up and over fallen timber and light vegetation for 5 Km.
  4. Removing your boots to walk across the creek, if required.

Paddle Gippsland Lakes Victoria. Starting Saturday 21st November,
Start and finish at Lake King Caravan Park. 5 days paddling, 4 nights camping out of the kayaks.

Paddlers should be comfortable with open lake paddling and wearing spray decks. Kayaks should be fitted out appropriate to open water safety standards. Sails encouraged but not essential. 

As long as it is safe to do so, we will be paddling in moderate wind conditions as wind blows in from Bass Strait.

Longest day 33 KM, shortest day 24 KM. No river flow.
