Joint Walk with Shoalhaven Bushwalkers. Starting and finishing from Hyland’s lookout off Deans Gap Rd we will traverse, off track, along the cliff top before descending to explore Daphne’s Overhang, a 250m long overhang. The return journey will be along the base of the escarpment before ascending a pass to return to the cars. You will need to be confident moving over rough ground but the experience will be worth it. Track head is about 6km from turn off from Sir Bertram Stephens Drive to Bundeena Drive.

Easy walk around North Head with lots of historical sites and great views down the harbour. Mid August 2023 this walk had a stunning array of wildflowers so hoping that I have the timing right this year for a repeat.

Easy four hour walk plus stops for coffee and lunch, and  to enjoy the history, the views and the flowers.

Ride 1:New Cycle Path to Murrays Beach (lakeside). Returning via the cavernous caves at Caves Beach. 30k

Ride 2:The Fernleigh Track with extensions so new the cement will still be wet. Return via Redhead 35k

Ride 3: To Lake Macquarie Museum of Art and Culture. Booragul(lakeside). 41k

Ride 4: Drive to Merewether Beach. Ride from there coastside to Nobbys lighthouse, cross the Hunter River to Stockton. Return to Merewether via Cooks Hill and Bar Beach. 25km

Train to North Sydney. Koffee close by in North Sydney. Descend slowly through the gardens, then depart via harbour foreshore and Luna Park and catching a lift to Harbour Bridge Roadway, Walking through part of Old Sydney to Wynyard Station.

Suggest bringing (or buying) a sandwich or snack to munch on within the Gardens, and to fortify yourself for the short uphill walk to the lift.
