E-bikes must meet the NSW Government requirements for permitted e-bikes.

Before participating in an activity, please familiarise yourself with our Grading and Guidelines and in particular, check that your equipment is in good condition. 

Please arrive at least 15 minutes before the advertised start time to prepare, sign on and be ready for the pre-activity briefing.

Please do not attend any Ramblers Club activity if you are not feeling well.

Around the lake from Oak Flats through Albion Park Rail to Macquarie Rivulet, then alongside the freeway to Albion Park and Croom Reserve.  We follow the path to Croome Road, then head towards the playground and tennis courts in Tongarra Road to reach Kimbeth Crescent and the bike path which will take us to the airport.  Coffee at HARS.  We return via Macquarie Rivulet and the path that takes us back to Skiway Park.  Mainly level, bike path most of the way.

This ride is to mark the last greyhound race at Dapto.  Whether you see this as positive or negative, it is still the end of an era.  An Historic event.

A glorious and exciting ride is planned into the depths of the Dapto bad lands.  We will be ably assisted by Horsley local and Lord of the Labyrinth, Greg Green.

Around quiet streets and cycle paths around Horsley on the edge of farmland and bush. Up Bong Bong road for views back to the valley and the coast. Then on to Wongawilli and the Smiths Dairy café for well deserved coffee. Return via the cycle paths and quiet streets along the edge of Robins Creek to Dapto station.

For those wanting to assert their rights to take e-bikes on the train;  the 7:33am at Thirroul gets into Dapto at 8:07am

A short stint on Hooka Creek Road, then we cycle on the path alongside Hooka Creek, before crossing over to Holborn Park.  Continue around the lake to Warrawong, then the direct route past the shopping centre to the Surf Club at Port Kembla beach.  On to the Inner Harbour before heading back to Cakes by Rach for coffee. We return to Berkeley past the shopping centre again, back to Northcliffe Drive and around the lake to Fred Finch Park.  Mainly bike paths, some streets, and hills. Lake and ocean views.

Originally to be billed as Shipwrecks of Homebush Bay walk; but recce walk revealed a lot more to see, enjoy and be stimulated by. Walk will be interspersed with a number of related historical talks.

Starting with the Meadowbank railway bridge talk, then the industrial developments around Rhodes, but not forgetting the shipwrecks themselves.

Bring binoculars for viewing of lagoon birds from bird hides and an architectural quiz.

Easy walk, limited steps, with many pleasant views and photo opportunities, and except for a few hundred metres is on sealed footpaths. Route itself is all along river/bay foreshore or amongst the mangroves.

Starts with enjoyable ferry ride to Meadowbank and finishes Concord West train station.

4h walking plus coffee/lunch breaks (bring own lunch/snacks) lecture breaks and bird watching time.

Mainly Grade 3, but we will venture off track to visit some interesting (not often seen) POIs. We will start at the Abrahams Bosom car park and make our way up to Merimbula Trig before heading on to Beecroft Head.  From here we’ll work down to the base of Old Man’s Hat and beyond (pretty scratchy for the first 50m).  Very spectacular!!!  (you’ll need to be confident rock scrambling.)  We’ll then work our way south and scramble down into Moore’s Inlet/Eves Ravine so we can admire where we’ve been.  If time permits, we will continue south, traversing past three ravines before heading back to the cars. Joint walk with Shoalhaven Bushwalkers.

Starting at the Moes (Green) Rock car park, we’ll make our way along the rock platform (swell permitting) to Stony Creek and Cape St George. We’ll then cross a headland before descending into Rock Funnel Beach. After this, we’ll follow the faint track for spectacular views of the sea caves at Paradise Rocks which we’ll traverse around to and then follow the fire trail back to the cars. Possible swimming opportunities along the way or at Green Patch on the way back.
This is an easy Grade 4 walk but it is Grade 4. You’ll need to be comfortable walking over rough terrain.

This is a combined walk with the Shoalhaven Bushwalkers.
