Tue 21 Apr, 2026 Cycle: Eleven (or maybe 12) Sydney Bridges – Southbound: Milsons Point to Caringbah – Joint club ride with Bike North – CANCELLED
From Milsons Point, ride over SYDNEY HARBOUR BRIDGE, PYRMONT BRIDGE, ANZAC BRIDGE, IRON COVE BRIDGE, the suspension BRIDGE over IRON COVE CREEK on the Bay Run, then via the Greenway to the 3 BRIDGES over the COOKS RIVER, 2 BRIDGES in the new SCARBOROUGH WETLANDS including the spiral bridge over President Avenue Kogarah and finally the CAPTAIN COOK BRIDGE, en route to Caringbah Station. The total route length is 47km. Of that, roughly 40km is waterside although some water is tidal. Only 1400 metres of the 47km is NOT specifically designated for pedestrians and cyclists. It is: cycleway, or shared path, or quiet designated on-road bike route, or parkland, or public spaces such as Barangaroo or substantial excellently preserved timber wharves. The route has come into being with 3 significant new pieces of infrastructure this year meeting up with existing bike routes.
Attractions include: the scenery, almost continuous water views, cityscapes, parklands, wetlands, historic and special bridges. Other than accessing the 3 longest bridges this ride is flat.
This ride is a joint club ride with fellow Bicycle NSW affiliate, BIKE NORTH who will join us at Milsons Point.
Coffee and lunch venues are still being selected. Chances are that coffee won’t be until about 11. Bring a snack, and lunch if you want. BYO lunch most likely at Wolli Creek
