Sat 01 Nov, 2025 Walk: Old Man’s Hat, Beecroft Head, Currarong
Mainly Grade 3, but we will venture off track to visit some interesting (not often seen) POIs. We will start at the Abrahams Bosom car park and make our way up to Merimbula Trig before heading on to Beecroft Head. From here we’ll work down to the base of Old Man’s Hat and beyond (pretty scratchy for the first 50m). Very spectacular!!! (you’ll need to be confident rock scrambling.) We’ll then work our way south and scramble down into Moore’s Inlet/Eves Ravine so we can admire where we’ve been. If time permits, we will continue south, traversing past three ravines before heading back to the cars. Joint walk with Shoalhaven Bushwalkers.
Mon 03 Nov, 2025 Cycle: Bowral to Moss Vale Wombat Ride
This regular Ramblers ride has been updated, modified and rejigged to avoid the dangerous crossing of Moss Vale rd at Burradoo road. What is old is made new again ! However, rest assured, the navigational nuances will still involve wombats.
We start at the Bowral swimming pool and cycle through old Bowral via the Bradman Oval then on to the eastern suburbs. After a brief stop for wombat worship we head towards Burradoo, via a new route to a flat straight section of Moss Vale road where we cross to the dark side. We then follow the Wingecarribee River to Moss Vale for coffee.
The return trip involves another break with tradition, as we cross back over Moss Vale road closer to Bowral. A ride back along the edge of the Bowral Golf Club brings us back to the security of our traditional path. A gentle glide along the Cherry Tree walk brings us back to the swimming pool for an optional BYO lunch in the park.

Sit, swim, chat, relax before returning the via same route.
