Volunteer cyclists needed

Colleen, Penny and I will be part of a group of 9 ride leaders from across NSW who will be heading to Sydney for a day of training on Sunday 28 April.  The course includes a large component of hands-on assessment for which we need “extras” – riders to act as participants in a series of short rides around Sydney Olympic Park which will be organised to test our skills as leaders.  Family members or friends (above 18 years) are welcome, they do not have to be Ramblers members. You will be given a briefing about your role and will be involved in all the physical training exercises.  By all accounts it sounds like it will be a fun day, and will no doubt be very informative for everyone involved.
Many of you will be away in Victoria which is why we are appealing to other riders for support.  It is an early start – 8.00 am at the Sydney Olympic Park Education Centre.  It is anticipated that the event will finish around 2.00pm.  Lunch will be provided.
Travel options are by train or car.  Being a Sunday, the latter may be more convenient.  Parking is available about 100 metres from the Sydney Olympic Park training centre.
Please contact me if you are interested or need any further information. We need to confirm numbers by Monday 15 April.
