Keeping in Touch

Dear fellow Ramblers,

Because this latest Covid lockdown looks like dragging on for some time to come, I wanted to just keep in touch and encourage everyone to take advantage of exercising outdoors with just one other person which is still allowed.

We have had twelve brand new members join since May.  I want to welcome you all and realise how disappointing it must be to not be able to get going and participate in lots of new activities.  Hang in there, we will eventually get back to running a regular program and I hope that you will enjoy being part of the Ramblers when we do.

We are fortunate to be living in such a beautiful part of the world with so many great places to exercise that could fall within your allowed zone.  I hope you can meet up with an exercise buddy not only for physical but also for mental health benefits.  We need to keep our fitness levels up so we can come back ready to participate in activities as soon as we are able.

This is a good time to research and plan a new activity that’s ready to go when we can.  If you are a new leader there are guidelines to assist you on the website under the Activities tab.

Meanwhile if you take any photos whilst out and about, please forward them to Russell Verdon who will post them on the Webpage and Facebook.  You will find Russell’s contact details in the Members List.  Above is a photo I took last week at Bellambi Beach whilst on a walk along the sand from Towradgi.

Keep safe and keep positive.   We will get through this together.
