Autumn 2020 Newsletter

President’s Report

Welcome to the Ramblers Autumn Newsletter.  As explained previously we will no longer be printing the Activities program in the Newsletter.  The Activities Program is available online and members should also watch out for emails containing any changes to the program during the upcoming period.

This newsletter contains several items of interest and I would draw your attention particularly to the article on bike helmets, a key factor in safe bike riding, submitted by Colleen Barclay our Training & Special Interest Co-ordinator.

The club has contacted Shellharbour Council in the last couple of weeks expressing our disappointment in the poor construction of the launch ramp for kayaks at Lake Illawarra and giving suggestions as to how it can be improved.  We will keep you informed of the outcome.

After a very hot summer and the terrible bush fires hopefully Autumn will bring more favourable weather for all our upcoming activities.
