Thinking of leading an activity? Unsure of how to go about it? Then this is for you!
While there has been a steady increase in member numbers, there has been no corresponding increase in the number of new leaders, and therefore the committee would like to appeal for new leaders to come forward. New leaders are always welcomed and given any support required.
All you have to do is think of your favourite activity, whether walk, cycle or paddle – and put it in the program. A comprehensive half day of training, outlining procedures and protocols can be arranged for anyone who is contemplating leading an activity but unsure of where to start. Leaders and committee members will be there to give you an understanding of procedures and also to answer any questions you may have on leading. The venue and date will be confirmed nearer the time – morning tea will be supplied.
If you would like to participate in the training, see the Autumn program or contact Alan Ryan, Training Officer. See Members List for contact details.
PS – If you need some ideas, Walks, Paddles and Bike Rides in the Illawarra and Environs is a compilation of activities including trips away organised by the Illawarra Ramblers Club over several years.
